Woking Golf Club: Modern Golf Course Map

Woking Golf Club is one of England’s most cherished heathland classics, and this print distills its quiet elegance into a piece of art with genuine presence. The minimalist composition gives the course room to breathe, setting rich green corridors against an open, softly toned field and anchoring the whole with a refined title block bearing “1893.” For anyone with a fond memory of Woking’s springy turf, purple heather, and understated charm, this map is a graceful way to keep the club close.

Viewed as a complete routing, the course reveals a beautiful left-to-right spread, with generous space between holes and a rhythm of slender, tapering fairways. A long diagonal corridor climbs through the upper middle, balanced by a pair of elongated, near-vertical holes down the right that drift toward water. In the lower half, two horizontal holes sit in quiet conversation, while a sweeping fairway in the lower-left adds movement and scale. Together, these lines form a distinctive silhouette—coherent, poised, and unmistakably Woking.

Subtle hazards come alive in this graphic language. Soft blue water bodies punctuate the plan—a larger pond to the upper left, a slim, elegant pool near the upper right, and a more intricate wetland form to the lower right—interlaced with fine stream-like traces on the left. Cream bunkers, used sparingly but decisively, gather around green complexes and select fairway edges, sharpening the course’s strategic drama. Greens register as refined olive shapes, each a quiet destination in the landscape, while understated tee complexes further define the flow.

The result is a portrait of Woking’s character: heathland lines drawn with restraint, strategy conveyed through spacing and shape, and a timeless atmosphere captured in clean, modern tones. It’s both wall art and a personal marker—of rounds played, friendships built, ambitions set, or a longstanding connection to one of Surrey’s most storied clubs.

Clean, modern design — made from real data

We build each course map by hand from high‑resolution mapping sources and detailed land records, translating real‑world geometry into a calm, contemporary composition. Every fairway, green, bunker, and water feature is carefully shaped to feel both accurate and artful.

Fine details—like the delicate stream traces, clustered sand, and the generous negative space between holes—are balanced with a crisp border and elegant typography to create a piece that feels minimal, stylish, and timeless.
