The Golf Club at Middle Bay: Modern Golf Course Map

The Golf Club at Middle Bay, set along the South Shore in Oceanside, New York, is a course shaped by water, light, and the ever-present pull of the bay. This contemporary map captures its waterfront character with a refined, gallery-like touch — a portrait of elongated fairways and sculpted greens resting against sweeping blue shorelines. For anyone who knows the feel of a coastal round or has a connection to this Long Island favorite, it’s a dignified way to celebrate a place where the game meets the tide. The date shown on the artwork, 1955, nods to the club’s heritage and adds an extra note of provenance to the piece.

Viewed as a whole, the routing stretches gracefully from left to right: a compact cluster of holes pressed close to the shoreline at the western edge, a flowing central run, and a tidy gathering to the east. Many corridors read almost horizontally, giving the layout a calm, low-slung silhouette that suits its bayside setting. From above, the composition feels spacious and unhurried — fairways separated just enough to breathe, yet connected by a clear rhythm that pulls the eye across the map.

Water is the defining drama. The broad bay curls along the left and lower-left perimeter, while narrow channels and a series of inland ponds add intrigue through the middle and right-center. One particularly memorable stretch arcs a dark-green fairway around a winding water feature near the lower center of the plan, flanked by pale-gold bunkers that tighten the line of play. Elsewhere, small, carefully placed bunkers gather around greens or trace the edge of fairways — subtle accents that give the map texture and the course its strategic heartbeat. The open feel, with minimal treeing, lets wind and water set the tone.

Rendered in deep olive greens, powder blues, and soft sandy gold on a warm off-white ground, the artwork is clean and contemporary without losing the course’s essence. A fine double-line border, crisp typography, and a small compass underscore the modern, archival feel. Built from high-resolution mapping sources, this is both a precise plan and an elegant keepsake — perfect for commemorating a special round, a long-standing membership, a golf trip with friends, or a lifelong affinity for the South Shore.

Clean, modern design — made from real data

We build each course map by hand from high-resolution mapping sources, combining accurate course detail with a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Every fairway, green, bunker, pond, and shoreline is drafted with care so the finished print feels both authentic and artful.

The simplified palette and meticulous line work create a timeless piece that highlights the course’s distinctive waterfront character — clear, minimal, and refined without sacrificing the nuances of the layout.
