Brooklawn Country Club: Modern Golf Course Map

Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield, Connecticut is a study in classic New England parkland golf, and this contemporary map treats it with the respect it deserves. Established in 1895, the club’s heritage shines through a layout that feels both time-honored and beautifully composed from above. Rendered in a refined, modern style, the course becomes elegant wall art without losing the sense of rhythm, strategy, and quiet prestige that make Brooklawn so memorable to play.

Viewed as a whole, the routing unfolds across the property in three distinctive movements. On the left, a compact block of mostly vertical and diagonal holes creates a strong, upright cadence. Through the center, broader fairways sweep with graceful angles, including a prominent diagonal that draws the eye from upper left toward the heart of the plan. To the right, the composition tightens again, anchored by two striking, near-parallel corridors that run on the bias across the lower-right quadrant. Generous breathing space between holes gives the entire map an airy, balanced feel.

Subtle details add depth to the picture. Petite, rounded greens sit like polished stones at the ends of fairways, many of them ringed by warm, sculpted sand that hints at Brooklawn’s thoughtful bunkering. A slender, meandering stream traces the upper reaches of the property before easing into a larger pond to the right, introducing both serenity and tactical intrigue. The interplay of long, slender corridors and broader, gently doglegging passages creates a pleasing ebb and flow — a layout that feels calm and composed yet full of strategic nuance.

Built from high-resolution mapping sources, this design captures Brooklawn’s true silhouette with crisp clarity while keeping the aesthetic minimal and timeless. It’s a fitting tribute to a club with genuine championship pedigree — host to multiple USGA events, including the U.S. Senior Women’s Open — and a meaningful way to commemorate a special round, a family membership, or a long connection to one of Connecticut’s most distinguished courses.
